In 2020, CodeB by Aloaha was shortlisted at the Global Carrier Awards for its blockchain-based digital identity and anti-fraud solution — named among the best in the international carrier industry, in a field defined by the world’s largest telecom operators.
Run by Capacity Media, the Global Carrier Awards are the international wholesale telecommunications industry’s most established honours — decided by an independent judging panel and presented each year to the carriers, operators and technology providers that move the world’s voice and data. The 2020 edition was held as a virtual ceremony during Capacity Europe in October 2020.

The shortlist is drawn from the Tier-1 carriers and global wholesale operators that run the networks behind the world’s telecoms.
For a specialist identity-and-security company from Malta to stand on that shortlist placed CodeB’s engineering alongside the industry’s biggest names.
The solution recognised in 2020 was CodeB’s blockchain-based approach to digital identity and fraud prevention — the self-sovereign identity lineage that still underpins the CodeB Credential Provider and CodeB’s sovereign, self-hosted identity platform today.
